Travel to Canada

It is mandatory to insert on each booking with destination Canada, at least 72 Hours before departure, the following passenger details:

  • Full Name ( mind the maximum characteres allowed for name element) 
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Number and Validity of Travel Document (ex: Passport)

These details must be inserted as an SSR DOCS.

All bookings without the mandatory information will receive notifications 15 Days before the flight, 07 Days, 04 Days or 03 Days, until the minimum required information on SSR DOCS is inserted. The lack of this information may result in delays at the check-in or boarding.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Don’t use passenger titles such as MR, MRS, MSTR and MISS on SSR DOCS (though they are mandatory on the name element of the PNR).

Use space between surnames: SILVA SOUSA instead of SILVASOUSA.

 

eTA - Electronic Travel Authorisation

The eTA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) is a document that confirms the bearer is allowed to travel to Canada. From November 2016, the Canadian Government introduced a new immigration regulation. The eTA is now necessary for passengers who previously did not require a visa. It is requested online and is directly linked to the passenger’s passport, and is issued by the government of Canada.

To obtain it, simply go to the official Canadian Immigration and Citizenship website (CIC) to confirm the eligibility of the passenger and to request and pay the electronic authorisation before the departure to Canada. Travellers who have a visa and USA citizens are exemptfrom this document.
