Covid-19 PCR and rapid tests to enter The Netherlands
Updated on 22 Jan 2021

Effective from January 23, in addition to the requirement to submit a negative PCR test for COVID-19 carried out no more than 72 hours before arrival in the Netherlands, all passengers travelling to the Netherlands from high-risk areas must provide proof of a rapid test to COVID-19 with a negative result no more than four hours before boarding.

Further information about conditions to enter The Netherlands on this page.

Important!

From 23 January, a rapid test facility will be available at Lisbon Airport for passengers travelling to Amsterdam. The facility is located at Boarding Area S, next to Gate S24:

  • The service starts 4 hours before scheduled departure time for TAP flight (07:40 LIS LT)
  • Cost: 30€ at passenger expenses
  • The process takes 30 minutes and the result is available in 15 minutes

Local passengers: if arriving at the airport without the test, passengers must proceed to the testing facilities right after check-in is completed (within the 4h time frame). For this reason, check-in to AMS will close at 75mins before the scheduled departure time.

Connecting passengers: must proceed to the testing facilities immediately after arrival (within the 4h time frame).
